Impending Economic Changes |

ArenaNet has announced that they will be making some "important economic and balance changes" to further stabilize the ingame economy. These changes are set to coincide with the Sorrow's Furnace update next Wednesday.
Some of the more notable changes will be those to the skill training system. According to the game update notes, skill points will become easier to acquire, but the price in gold of obtaining a skill from a trainer will rise substantially. ArenaNet also suggests that players consider spending unspent skill points before the update when costs will rise. To read the official update forecast note, go here. |

Sorrow's Furnace release date announced |

ArenaNet has finally announced the official release date for the first Guild Wars update. Sorrow's Furnace will be automatically downloaded (free of charge) upon logging-in to the game on September 7th. The update will provide two new explorable areas as well as new items and creatures, though early indications are that the content will only be available to ascended characters.
