There's another excellent weekend event coming up with Guild Wars (I hope this tradition keeps up). This one is for those of us who have avoided PvP (but I recently left that camp with the Nightfall PvP event...Random arenas are some fun). It will start August 4th and give access to the Canthan Elite missions to every Factions owner--with a double rare drop rate!

Head up to Battle Isles and check out the Paragon and the Dervish.
Also...new slots are finally for sale; 9.95 and accessible from the Guild Wars character selection screen!
My initial reaction to the Nightfall PvP preview event may be tainted by my lack of PvP experience, but it sure is fun!

The Nightfall PvP preview is coming soon, and a temporary skill balance
change appeared for it today, along with several juicy interface
changes. Perhaps best is a change to the cutscenes; time no
longer elapses. Check it out here.
