Another fun filled night of GuildWars pvp. I'm so hooked on this game
it's beyond words. I haven't had this much fun killing people since
oldschool UO.

This was basically the same build as wednesday's build, with the
exception of removing a mesmer/warrior and replacing him with a
Necro/Warrior. The Necro/warrior opened combat with weaken armor/defile
flesh (-10+ AC and halving health recover by half from healing spells)
made the target easily killable. The Necro/Warrior made all the difference.
Overall results for Friday the 13th were 3-2.
Battle Summary Comments
- We couldn't win one map because the guild lord was bugged and got stuck
- The other loss was to the Fianna, a quality group, who brought a
very anti-melee build together and mass AOE'd us. The fight still
lasted 15 minutes, but we had to go back and reconfigure our group
build to adjust.
- Warriors Cunnint + Penetrating Blow is a good combination. Battle
Rage leaves much to be desired, and you should slot "To the Limit /
Sprint" instead.
- Three axe users provides good damage output, but last month we
went with a 2 axe / 1 sword stack for melee. We found out that we
should stick to that formula due to sword powers having a bleed, and a
snare that proves very useful.
We switched from Coastal Guilds (which we played last week) to Tombs of
Drascir. It was a welcomed changed, but a few of the maps on Tombs of
Drascir are still alittle buggy and need some work. If you have any questions about why we picked the skill/classes we did, please post your questions in this Questions thread.
Also, keep your eyes open for a new article coming to Coldfront.
Waylander , the popular Shadowbane Herald, Lead Class Advocate, and
Warcry/Stratics Staff , will be writing about the various PVP maps,
telling us about the layouts of the maps, and the overall objectives.
Should make for a wonderful read. |
